Nate is a founder of Key Performance Ideas and brings over 10 years of experience designing and implementing budgeting, reporting and analytical solutions on a national and global scale. After achieving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Yale University, Nate started his career in Finance at the largest software company in Chicago, Illinois. As a business analyst in the company’s financial planning group, Nate built the company’s first system generated, company-wide, product-line profitability model and participated on the client advisory board for various organizations’ financial budgeting and reporting systems. During the dot com era, Nate relocated to California where he designed and implemented company-wide budgeting and forecasting solutions for an internet search and broadband giant and led a worldwide implementation of a web based planning solution for a major clothing manufacturer in San Francisco. Nate then moved to consulting, where he has engaged in over 100 budgeting, reporting and analytical implementations at companies nationwide. His commitment to customer satisfaction ensures that Key Performance Ideas’ customers receive the maximum value of their investment.
Nate resides in the Chicago area where he leads consulting services and business development for the Midwest region. In his free time, Nate enjoys spending time with his family, playing league basketball and participating in auto club racing events.
As a founding member of Key Performance Ideas, Rob brings over 2 decades of experience in the finance arena including the position of Corporate Financial Planner and then Director of Financial Planning and IS at Paramount Studios. During his tenure at Paramount Studios, Rob also attained professional certifications in Local Area Network Management and Database Design from UCLA. Rob has held other titles in the field of finance and was hired by Toyota Motor Credit Corporate to redesign their financial planning process. In addition, Rob was an EPM Consultant for Hyperion Solutions in 2000 and within 3 years, he was Hyperion’s Senior Essbase and Planning Consultant on the West Coast. In 2002 he was hired by a small, boutique consulting firm to establish a Hyperion Essbase/Planning practice. With over 200 EPM projects under his belt, Rob has a keen understanding of how to transfer business needs to elegant technical solutions.
Rob resides in Southern California. When not engaged in EPM projects Rob enjoys collecting fine wine, collecting hand made Swiss Watches and participating in several car clubs. He graduated from The Advanced Performance Driving Program at Buttonwillow Race Way Park.
As a co-founder of Key Performance Ideas, Garry brings invaluable & immeasurable experience in the field of IT and programming. Garry has held various information systems positions including Meyer Plumbing Company, Mark Information Systems, Synopsys and Bitsource where Garry was the founder. Throughout his career, Garry has been involved in over 300 Hyperion/Oracle projects and has expertise in infrastructure design, implementation, planning and maintenance.
When Garry is not working, he enjoys mountain biking, cross country skiing, wine collecting and is a big fan of Burning Man.
Chris is a Key Performance Ideas owner and brings over 20 years of successful systems design & development experience ranging from custom applications for Order Management, Accounts Receivable, and Product Distribution to Sales Compensation Tools to Partner Point-of-Sale collection, with a specialty around Data Warehouse and Management Reporting strategies. Chris has led the development of several large-scale Data Warehouse initiatives in the Pharmaceutical, High-Tech Manufacturing, and Internet industries.
Chris began his career in IT as a programmer and migrated to a finance function where he successfully evangelized the concept of a Finance Systems team as a competitive advantage. He created a Finance Systems team which was immersed in the Finance function and clearly understands the needs and priorities of the function while still able to communicate successfully at a technical level with IT to deliver requirements, build technical solutions, and ultimately hold them accountable to their business partners.
In his Finance Systems roles, Chris led the strategic roadmap definition and the engagement with leadership on funding, approach, and scope. Additionally, his teams worked closely with users to define business requirements and he created an overall “Operating Model” to address the technical needs of Finance by formalizing project prioritization, developing professional project management and training personnel, and ensuring global systems with data architecture consistency and formal governance for data management. Chris has led the successful implementation of over 50 major Oracle/Hyperion system solutions. Some of Chris’s successes have been published in the trade journals HP Chronicle, HP World, and BYTE Magazine.
This unique balance of technical and business experience allows him to work successfully with Key Performance Ideas customers in formulating their systems roadmap and defining a compelling business need for software solutions.
Chris lives in the heart of Silicon Valley and manages the West region of Key Performance Ideas. Chris has a passion for motorsports and fine automobiles, domestic and international soccer, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
