Lead Hyperion Essbase Consultant
This full time position involves managing project team members, as well as a flexible work location and a billable hourly bonus, in addition to a base salary and other benefits.
Responsibilities
- Translate strategic business needs into practical architecture solutions
- Define systems strategy; develop systems requirements; design, prototype, implement and launch solutions
- Create necessary project plans during client design sessions
- Proactively and frequently communicate with customers to build and maintain a solid working relationship
- Tactically develop Hyperion Essbase environments, including outlines, load rules, calculation scripts, partitions and security
- Design and build required reports using Hyperion reporting applications
- Write and maintain clear, concise functional and technical specifications on Essbase applications, business and system processes
- Optimization of Essbase applications
- 4 year degree in Finance or MIS
- Hyperion Certified Professional for Essbase 6 and/or 7.1.2
- 3-5 years direct Essbase experience
- 2+ years working with MaxL scripting language
- Advanced analytical, diagnostic and technical skills
- Understanding of Business Intelligence concepts
- Understanding of corporate business processes, including forecasting and budgeting cycles and actual corporate reporting requirements
- 2+ years Project Management experience
- Experience using Essbase aggregate storage focused on performance optimization
- In-depth knowledge of and experience with Hyperion product family (Analyzer, Planning, Performance Suite, Enterprise, Integration Services, Application Link, Transaction Manager, Master Data Management)
- Perl Script, VBA, SQL, Java, JRun and JavaScript experience
- Operational finance department experience
- 2+ years relational database experience
